Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Lydia McLaughlin has shared a heartfelt message following the tragic loss of her brother, Geoffrey Shyam Stirling, who passed away at the age of 45 after a reported encounter with police in Newport Beach, California.

Lydia, 44, took to Instagram to express her sorrow and gratitude for the support her family has received. “We are walking through an unthinkable time right now. Losing Geoff has shattered our hearts,” she wrote. “I know he’s with our mom now, and we’re leaning on our faith through the pain.”

The incident, which took place on April 17, involved Stirling being stopped while riding a motorcycle. According to authorities, the situation escalated after he allegedly became uncooperative, leading to a confrontation that ended in an officer-involved shooting.

This devastating news comes just six months after Lydia lost her mother, Judy Stirling, to breast cancer. She had recently shared a touching tribute to her mom, calling her “my hero and my favorite,” and spoke about finding strength through grief counseling.

Lydia, known for her appearances on RHOC, has received an outpouring of love from fans and fellow cast members, including Vicki Gunvalson, who offered public condolences.

In her recent post, Lydia thanked everyone for their prayers and support, emphasizing her family’s need for privacy as they navigate this painful time.
